Ryan Daniel McKinney is a director based out of Los Angeles, CA.  He was born and raised in the Shuswap Lake region of British Columbia.  He started his career in Vancouver, BC before relocating to Los Angeles.  Aside from film and television, Ryan is inspired by music, art and literature.  He is an avid hockey fan and enjoys traveling with his wife Lucy, their son Liam.  He holds an MFA in Film Production.

Ryan is also the co-founder of The Workroom, a video production company based in Southern California. www.theworkroom.co. And in addition, he’s an associate professor at Anaheim University, teaching digital filmmaking, documentary film production and serves as a thesis advisor in the MFA program in digital filmmaking.
